Show THE DEWEY OUTPUT. .Gold Mountain Proposition Continues to Make Gold Dollars. E. H. Dewey, manager of the Dewoy mine at Thunder mountain, has received. $11,000 from the October run of tho ten-stamp ten-stamp mill. .This, though larger than the average clean-ups of tho mill, docs not represent tho entire production. It was found that the mortars were leaking, and Superintendent Hatig has written that ho has flvo tons of material that leaked out and which Is being worked over. Tho gold in this, added to tho bullion already sent In. will run tho returns for tho month up close to $1C,000, says a report from Boise. Tho record for tho month of October .was 1210 tons of oro put through. The nverago "battery sample was $15.17 a ton and the tailings averaged $1.74. That shows SS.C per cent savings, or a total of $JGX6G for tho month. Heretofore tho bullion returns havo run a llttlo better than tho savings Indicated by tho assays, as-says, and tho loss for October is probablv accounted for by tho leaking from the mortars. During the first quarter of tho present pres-ent month tho mill worked 340 tons, showing show-ing an average valuo of $12,96. Tho mortars mor-tars arc now being riveted and it will require re-quire a week to repair each ono. That will reduce tho product for November considerably. The mine continues to Improve. |
