Two pleasant events took placo tjie day before Thanksgiving at the Offices of Mellin's Food company, 291 Atlantic avenue, Boston, and at the Mellin's Food Work3. 37 to 47 Central Wharf, when the Directors, Heads of Departments Depart-ments and Employees met together according ac-cording to their time honored custom, to exchange felicitations over the completion com-pletion of another successful year of kindly fellow-feeling and harmonious working together. Mr. Thomas Doll-ber, Doll-ber, president and treasurer of the company, com-pany, read the Thanksgiving proclamation proclama-tion of the President of the United States and that of the Governor of Massachusetts; then, In behalf of the directors, he expressed hl3 appreciation of the employees' work during the past twelve months. He said that the Increase In-crease In the business had been largo nnd even beyond the expectation of tho most sanguine, that all records had been broken and that he was much Eratlfied with the results attained. He thanked all for their hearty co-operation In producing these results. At the close of his remarks, Mr. Doll-ber. Doll-ber. beginning with the messenger boy who had most recently entered the employ em-ploy of the company and then In order, ranged according to years of service, crave to each, with the best wishes of the company, a large, fat turkey. More than a half ton of turkeys was required. More than two-thirds of those who received re-ceived turkeys have been with the Mellin's Mel-lin's Food company at least ten years, while with some, tho years of service range as high ns 19, 21, 26, 27 and 30 years. |
