Sealed proposals, in duplicate, du-plicate, will be received at the office of the United States Reclamation Service, at Reno. Nevada, until 2 o'clock p. m,, July 15, 10OI, for the construction of about 37 miles of main distributing canals, involving in-volving about l.GOO.COO cubic yards of ' earthwork, with diverting dam, regulating Kates, spillways, falla, woirs and brldKCS, for the diversion and conveyance of about 1S0O cubic feet of water per second from Carson River at a point about 4 'miles , west of Leotvillc, Nevada, to irrigable lands In Carson Sink Valloy. Bids will bo received on (A) Excavation and embankment embank-ment Xor one or more divisions or all tho 1 work. (B) Headworks. (C) Falls, spillways, spill-ways, weirs, lateral headpatos, and pipe-drains. pipe-drains. CD) Highway bridges. Specifications, Specifica-tions, form of proposal and particulars may bo obtained after May 2C. 1901, by application to L. H. Taylor. Reno, No-vada, No-vada, and to the Chief Engineer of tho Reclamation Service. Washington, D. C , at whoso offices the plans may bo Inspected. In-spected. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check for $1000. payable to the Secretary of tho Interior, as a guaranty guar-anty that the bidders will. If successful, promptly execute a satisfactory contract and furnish bond In the sum of 20 per cent for the faithful performance of the work. The right is roserved to reject any or all bids, to waive technical defects, or to , accept one part of a bid and rcjtct tho other, as the Interest of tho service may require.
