Show i JULIAN RALPH ILL WellKnown Author in a Critical Condition Con-dition From Effects of a Violent Vio-lent Hemorrhage St Louis Moi Dec 3Jul1an Ralph the wellknown newspaper man war correspondent and author Is critically ill at the Southern hotel from the ef feels of a sudden and violent hemorrhage hemor-rhage HH physician states that I a repetition of the attack would probably prove fatal The attack occurred last night and Mr Ralph Is resting easier tonight nnd awaiting the coming of his wife who has been summoned from New York and is expected to arrive tomorrow Mr Ralph was yesterday appointed manager of the Eastern headquarters of the Louisiana Purchase exposition in New York and lost night a number of friends tendered him a dinner at the St Louis club In celebration of the honor conferred upon him Some of his friends accompanied Mr Ralph to hlH apartments at the Southern South-ern after the dinner and they say that while conversing about midnight he was attacked with a violent hcrffor rhnge which came without premonition premoni-tion He sank Inlo unconsciousness and was hurriedly placed in bed Before Be-fore a physician could he summoned the patient regained consciousness and forbade that a physician be sent for I lIe remained In n semjatupor all night but rallied somewhat today and consented con-sented to have medical attention and also asked lhat his wife be summoned I |
