Show HAS 25 FINGERS AND TOES Strange Case of Typhoid Fever Patient Pa-tient in Baltimore The Baltimore Sun says Suffering from typhoid fever Gustav Wolskell 5 i years old vas admitted to the Baltimore Balti-more University hospital last Saturday afternoon The child Who Is the son of Frederick and Emma Weiskell arrived ar-rived In Baltimore last Saturday on the North German Lloyd steamer Kola from Bremen The boy is thought to have contracted the disease on the voyage voy-age When the Kahn arrived in Baltimore Balti-more the child was taken immediately to the hospital where the disease was diagnosed as typhoid fever When the physicians at the hospital examined the patient It was found that the boy hud seven fingers on his right hand and six on his left He also has six toes on each foot On the right hand the thumb and first two fingers are the same as those of ordinary mortals The ring finger and the middle linger are double On tho left hand on which there are six lingers the first three arc normal but at the joint of the little fingers there Is an extra grOwth which can be easily called a sixth finger The tones on each foot show the same peculiarity pe-culiarity The extra toes grow Just at the base of the little one The child appears to suffer no inconvenience from those extra fingers and toes The father of the child has gone onto on-to Chicago the destination of the parents par-ents but the mother remains in the city waiting for the boys recovery which Is expected shortly |
