Show UNION MEETING RESULTS GIVEN Resolutions approved by the district convention of International Interna-tional Union of Mine, Mill and Smelter workers at the closing session Tuesday included: A demand fof an investigation into handling of disabled miners hospital fund held by Utah state land board; Indorsement of President F.D. Roosevelt for a third term; Urging congress to vote a $150,000,000 additional WPA appropriation requested by the administration; Opposing any amendments to the' Wagner national labor relations rela-tions act; Indorsing and pledging support sup-port of state legislation to bring occupational diseases under the industrial compensation act; Indorsing Senator Elbert D. Thomas and Representatives J. W. Robinson and Abe Murdock on legislative records. Robert Bunting of the Park City local 99 and James Bant, president of Tintic local No. 151, were nominated for Dresident of the union to be elected early ir ' June and to take office in July E. M. Royle, union secretary will retire and his work taker over by the new president and his aids. A committee which includes Glen Gillespie, H. A. Davis and the Park City local's negotiating committee will decide on date for a vote on the question of a sympathy strike with the Park City local, if it is decided such a vote is to be taken. |
