Show FIRE AUXILIARY COMPILES BOOK "Reviving the memories of yesterday yes-terday and furnishing an inspiration inspira-tion for the future", the Bingham Volunteer fire department No. 1 ladies' auxiliary recognized its tenth birthday with distribution Monday evening to members of an anniversary scrap book. The book is bound in attractive attract-ive red leatherette cover and its pages are heavy cream-color ma-nila ma-nila paper. The text is typewritten typewrit-ten in red and pages are marked by careful, attractive hand drawings draw-ings of the firemen's emblem. The book's contents combine poetry, po-etry, humorous description of activities and meetings with a history of the organization, lists of past officers and mention of convention achievements. Members Pictures of active members are attractively arranged in alphabetical alpha-betical order and include: Mesdames Nona Carrigan, Ella El-la Cook, Maurine Cook, Blanche Creedon, Mary Culleton, Connie Harris, Ruth Householder, Dora Ivie, Elizabeth James, Esther - James.Florence Jenkins, Lottie Rawlings, Hazel Robison, Mem Robison, Pearl Schultz, Edith Scussel, Mae Stillman, Thelma Stokes, Iola Tatton. Presidents the past ten years for the group were: Connie Harris, 1929; Hannah Larson, 1930; Iola Tatton, 1931; Mae Stillman, 1932; Blanche Creedon, 1933; Edith Scussel, 1934; Esther James, 1935; Thelma Stokes, 1936; Ella Cook, 1937; Florence Jenkins, 1938. A photograph of four cups won for marching and attractive appearance ap-pearance at Utah State Firemen's association convention parades at Brigham City 1932, at Midvale 1937, Price 1938 and Salt Lake City Pacific Fire Chiefs convention conven-tion in 1938 is included. Representing hours of careful study, the books were the work of a committee including Mae Stillman, Esther James and Blanche Creedon. Photographs were by Dee Johanson. |
