| Show I REUNION Orj MISSIONARIES 4 I i Ti I Meetings of Those Who Labored in California nnd Florida I Among the pleasing events that came with conference was the reunion In the lecture coneacnce hall o the Salt Lake Business I college yesterday afternoon of members of the California mission There were about fifty o these present with tholr I wives and children Elder H S Tanner I Tan-ner who served a couple of years on I the coast and Is president of the association I as-sociation presided I was In the nature of a love feast as many pres en had not met for years Speeches reminiscent of their experiences on the I coast were made by Nathan Tanner H S Tanner John Dalton and a few remarks were added by E H Nye president of the mission at the present time A pleasing feutun was the vocal vo-cal solos of petite Catherine McClel land 7 years of age who sang three times much to the delight of the audience au-dience Apostle Ileber J Grant Apost Grnt gave a couple of vocal solos as did also I Miss Joslc Morris and Miss Lulu Tralne of Lehi Miss Clara Gldney pt I Brigham City and Wlllard Scowcroft of Ogden gave recitations which were very much endoyed Elegant refreshments I refresh-ments were served and after a general gen-eral handshaking an adjournment was j had for a year At the L D S college the members I of the Florida mission had a similar gathering where President Joseph A Vest of the association presided Sev oral hymns were sung by the congregation congre-gation and Miss Ettie White presided at the piano and also the organ A brief history of tho Florida mission I was given by W II Summerhays and speeches were made by Ben E Rich I L R RobbIns P M L Jensen Mack Redding a Florida convert Samuel Iso n and E Elton The proceedings ended by a general handshaking prayer and a hymn by the congregation I |
