| Show CUTTING AFFRAY IN A SALOON l Frank Moore and Peter Reid Engage In a Conflict and Moore I Comes Out of it With a Gash Across His Nose Frank Moore the Lone Star club man was looking for trouble last l evening apparently and he found It at the expiration of a few hours He I first wont Into a Commercial street saloon where ho made a rough house to a limited extent but everything was finally squared At about 030 he went Into lhc Vicuna Rnyol with which he was at one time connected and theo he and Peter Reid the mining man of Fish Springs got together to-gether and as a rosult the services of i a doctor wore badly needed Moore sustaining a cut of about three Inches on the noso and which was closed by several stitches and other minor Injure in-jure about time face lie suiToted considerably from loss of blood but was not so badly Injured as to require him to take to his bed going home several hours after the accident occurred oc-curred In company of a couple of friends I was said by an eye witness of the affray In the Vienna Royal lhat Moore began to Josh Reid In C friendly way and the latter replied In a like manner for several minutes The men have bocu on good terms for several years past and nothing was thought of trouble Suddenly Moore who had been drinking quite heavily began to grow very abusive Reid stood It for a tme but finally called a halt Moore continued his abuse and then the men clinched Moore falling to the fool In the scufile that followedMoore sustained sus-tained tho Injuries he received Witnesses Wit-nesses differed as to how the Injuries wero received some saying that they were Inflicted by a knife while others say that Reid used nothing but his fist fistReid Reid Is said to have had 3 big gun on him at the time of tho trouble but the witnesses all say lhat ho made no effort to draw It being content to fight out the battle without it Every effort was made to hush up the facts In tho case and even when It was known that Moore had been Injured In-jured It was said that the trouble had taken placo at another saloon Unless something i unforeseen occurs Moore will be able to attend to business again In a few days Reid was uninjured |
