saw Park City take the first game from Ogden today by the narrow margin ot 13 to 12 The ground was In bad condition condi-tion the outfield being a veritable mud hole Notwithstanding some good work was done The crowd was highly enthusiastic en-thusiastic in face of the fact that the sun hid Its face behind clouds and a cold wind was blowing I was nearly 4 oclock when Mayor Browning stepped Into the box and threw the first ball The visitors began scoring from the tle start on an error by Clark giving Scare the honor of bringing In the first score of the season Ogden cot two In hor half and from that time on it was a hit and run game no less than thirty hits being piled up Pendergraft did not have his control with him but Kid ShurtllfC was no better and the fielders did the work The features of the game were a phenomenal stop by Bluth at third where ho was transferred In the fifth Inning to relieve Clark and a pretty running catch by McGregor t CLARK BADLY HURT The pleasure of the game was marred by a serious accident to Third Baseman Fred Clark In the fifth Inning While at bat he fouled a vicious bender from Penny which Ilew up and struck him In the left eye Ills face was
