Show I l FISH STORIES Several hundred pounds of carp have been taken out of Deckers lake the past week There is but one foot of water in the lake which isfast drying up The fish In the lake range all the way from one pound to twenty Every day there are a dozen or more men and boys at work with pitchforks I and spears In the shallow water the flab can easily be secured In the West lakes which dried up some time ago a great many fish were left to die for lack of water S John Sharp Srf Game Commissioner has 1 left for Provo canyon where he will Inspect the river dam and see that proper fish ways ore put In for tho fish to go up and down the stream Most of the fish have gone down Into the lake but will soon go up stream agairi and If the dam Is Impassable much InJury In-Jury would be done and but few fish would be left In the canyon The fishIng fish-Ing there is not very good yet and but few catches are made o Many fishing parties are leaving for the canyons for extended trips Many of the parties go to the head of the Weber East canyon and as far Into Idaho as the Snake river and Its tributaries tribu-taries The fishing in Idaho Is better than It has been for several I years and all return from that country reporting great success |
