Show ASSASSINATING THE PISH Devastation that Fish and Game Wardens Should Put a Stop to Editor Tribune Thc citizens and taxpayers of our town have during the past few years petitioned and written several times to the State and Conty Fish and Game Commissioners to have the course of our crock looked after for 0 the protection of the great many fish that swim In it to have screens and fish ways at each and every dam placed In L said creek Some time ago there were somo ways placed in the Creek but partly made right and are seldom looked after and cleaned This year there have been n great many large fish come up our creek But where are they now Out on tho farms where tho fisherman cant reach them when it is legal I to fish for them and L catch them I appears to mo and a great many more sportsmen that the tlsh and game wardens of this country are of no use as it is all talk with them and no work t done for whch they are paid Seventylive per cent of the large fish that come up our creek have gone out I onto the farms through the water t ditches and canals Why is it this way Because the screens are not In at the head of the water ditches leading from tho main creek that our county wardens war-dens have been going to put In for the past four years There is trout fishing going on every day And why is it tho law will punish 1 person for catching a trout that is on Its way to the bone 1 yard on the farms Where does our tax money go to that was paid for the protection of our fish and game And when can we have protection in this country for the fish and game I remain re-main respectfully A SPORTSMAN I Smithfield Utah June 22nd |
