Show I STORY OF AN INSULT Rescue Home Report Denied by Parties Par-ties Named A i report has gained circulation which Is causing the parties concerned much annoyance to the effect that In I a recent conversation with Mrs Reed the matron of the Rescue home Chas A Dale who resides next to the home grossly insulted the lady This report Is most emphatically denied by Mr Dale while Mrs Reed admits that it Is without foundation It this connection It is stated that a movement was started by some of thp signers of the petition to the City Councilat least the plan was suggested sug-gested that signers of the petition for tIme removal of the home subscribe whatever they felt able toward the purchase l of a house outside of the city limits Nor was the matter to rest there for several of the ladles of the neighborhood agreed to solicit funds throughout the city and request the pastors of churchos to aid them in their work One of the most prominent promi-nent members of the board of the Rescue Res-cue home was communicated with and tho plan presented to her but It Is stated she Informed the ladles that II would do no good as the board had determined lo roialn the home where It now Is So the matter was dropped 1 1 It is understood that a committee from the board of directors of iho home and also a committee repre senllng the residents of Eighth East street will appear before the committee commit-tee of the Council on Friday evening to present the two sides of the question ques-tion Involved I |
