| Show I CHARLES H HOYT DEAD WellKnown Playwright Dies from 1 Paresis Charlestown N H Nov 20 Charles H Ployt the well known playwright died at his home here tonight of paresis pare-sis from which he had been suffering for several months past Ever since his return to Charlestown after his release re-lease from a private asylum at Hartford Hart-ford by order of the court early In August Au-gust It has been known by his attendants attend-ants and nearest friends that his condition I condi-tion was serious and that there was little or no chance for his recovery but Mr IToyt apparently had secmed I hopeful of ultimate recovery Previous two weeks ago there appears ap-pears to have been a slight Improvement in his condition although he had periods of depression de-pression About two weeks ago his appetite failed and he had a bad turn from which he only partially recovercJ Since that lime he had been unable to take any except liquid nourishment but continued to be up and around his I rooms until yesterday He steadily lost strength and this morning he suffered suf-fered a relapse and became unconscious uncon-scious in which condition he remained irntll death came Mr Hoyt had no relatives here and at the time of his death his two physicians physi-cians two trained nurses his valet and James O Lyford his legal guardian guar-dian were In attendance Tho funeral arrangements will not be made until tomorrow but It Is probable l that the funeral will be held Sunday Other Deaths Dr Romaine Curtis well known as a I physician and scientist Is dead In Jol I let I aged 6S RearAdmiral Robert Stembl retired Is dead from pneumonia In the Fifth Avenue hotel New York aged DO years Capt George D Coffey is dead at hla residence In Chicago Capt Coffey was a Mississippian and served In the Con federate army under Gen Lee Capt Peter Everett a noted Confederate Confed-erate aged 65 and associate of Gen John Morgan in the Civil war Is dead tin an asylum at Lexington ivy ceall John n Oil the comedian died in New York last night of a complication of diseases Tie was taken ill about two weeks ago He leaves a wIllo but Lieut Francis I Joy Ilacsler United J1l States navy died at the naval hospital i r Washington typhoid fever Lieut Haesler was eminent as an electrician and was an expert in the application of compressed air In mechanics In the battle off Santiago he was In charge of the starboard turret of the Texas |
