Mrs. Ruth Christiansen Seeking Nomination From S.L. Dist. No. 13 t-'V n RUTH L. CHRISTIANSEN Announcing her candidacy for the Democratic nomination for the Utah House of Representatives Representa-tives from District 13 in Salt Lake County this wek was Mrs. Ruth Christiansen, 737 W. 3rd North. Mrs. Christiansen is married and has two children and has long been active in the Democratic Demo-cratic Party. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In her announcement she said she was interested in small business busi-ness and the needs of the working work-ing man. She also is interested in problems of the aged, widows and dependent children. She pointed out that taxes also are a major interest. "Taxes," she said, "are spiraling beyond the point of practical reality. Revenues must be spent more wisely in an effort to reduce taxes. "Many citizens have no idea as to the amount of the total taxes they pay. It will be my aim to inform them so they may voice their desires concerning taxes in a sensible way."
