Nielson, BLM Utah State Director, said that 300 signs will be posted at appropriate places in the state with the following message: "Any person who shall appropriate, appro-priate, excavate, injure or destroy de-stroy any historic or prehistoric ruin or mnument, or any object of antiquity, situated on lands owned or controlled by the Department De-partment of the Interior, without the consent of the Secretary of the Interior or his duly authorized author-ized representative, shall, upon conviction, be fined in a sum of $500 or be imprisoned for a period of not more than 90 days or shall suffer both fine and imprisonment, im-prisonment, in the discretion of the court.
