Show S. L. County Demo Convention Called for March 17 at Terrace Salt Lake County Democrats will gather Saturday, March 17, at 9 a.m. at The Terrace for the County organizational convention. conven-tion. The announcement was made by Stephen P. Smoot, county chairman. Warwick C. Lamoreaux has announced his candidacy for the county chairmanship. In the race for county vice chairwoman are Mrs. Ethel Spils-bury, Spils-bury, who is running for re-election; Mrs. Hannah Crookston, Mrs. Manda Morrison, Mrs. Clinton Clin-ton Vernon, and Mrs. Evelyn Moyle Nelson. In addition to electing a new county chairman, a vice chairwoman, chair-woman, a treasurer and a secretary secre-tary will be elected. Mrs. Virginia Vir-ginia Fitzgerald is the secretary and C. B. Smurthwaite's name has been mentioned for the secretary's sec-retary's office. Leonard Cosco is the new treasurer and will seek the same office. They will serve for the next two years the chairman said. Delegates to the county convention con-vention were named at recent Democratic mass meetings. |
