Show Bureau of Fisheries Requests Change in Withdrawal Plans The U.S. Bureau of Sport Fisheries Fish-eries and Wildlife has requested the U.S. Bureau of Land Management Man-agement to include locatable minerals in a previous proposed withdrawal of approximately 1,704 acres for establishment of the Ouray National Wildlife Re-"uge. Re-"uge. According to the new request, the lands would be withdrawn and could not be acquired under U.S. mining laws. However, min-3ral min-3ral leasing laws still would ap--ly. The previous withdrawal, published November 2, 1960, affected only surface rights of these lands. The 1.704 acres including 160 acres of tribal lands are approximately ap-proximately 25 miles south of Vernal, according to R. D. Nielson, Niel-son, BLM state director for Utah. He added that persons having objections or comments concerning concern-ing the amended proposed withdrawal with-drawal should write to the Bureau Bur-eau of Land Management P.O. Box 777, Salt Lake City 10, Utah, before March 1. |
