Show County Waives Fee On Airport Permit Salt Lake City will save some $3500 on its construction costs at the Salt Lake City municipal airport. Salt Lake County has waived a $3500.00 building permit fee which the city might otherwise have had to obtain. The county commission directed direct-ed Ollie McCulloch, chief civil deputy in the county attorney's office, to draft an amendment to the county's building code to permit waiving of the fee because be-cause public funds are being used in the airport construction project. Mr. McCullouch said that the amendment would hereafter permit per-mit cities and towns in the coun-to coun-to skip the permit fee where "public funds were being used." He said the amendment would not make an exemption, that cities and towns still would have to apply for the waiver. Request for the airport waiver was made last week by City Commissioner L. C. Romney. |
