Show the-L the-L EASED GRAPEVINE Edward W. Parker, principal at Lincoln Junior High School, has completed requirements for his doctor of education degree at Harvard University. He is a 1947 graduate of the University of Utah. Robert R. Portness, engineering engineer-ing graduate of Johns Hopkins University, has been named industrial in-dustrial engineer at the Garfield Smelter of Utah Copper Division of Kennecott Copper Co. Aubrey S. Parker has been approved by the city commission commis-sion for promotion from fourth grade patrolman in the police department to third grade with a salary increase from $335 to $355 a month. Roy Allen Behunin, 583 Columbus Co-lumbus St., has leased the old city dump north of Indiana Ave. He told the city commission he planned to apply chemicals and recover some two million pounds of top soil from the property. Sperry Utah Engineering Laboratory Lab-oratory is considering leasing 105,000 square feet of space at the Clearfield Naval Supply Depot De-pot for manufacturing its Sergeant Ser-geant guided missile, Paul Ves-tigo, Ves-tigo, Sperry resident manager, said this week. The department of fish and game this week made known the appointment of one new employee em-ployee and the promotion and transfer of two others. Newly appointed is ' Kendall Nelson, a 26 year old wildlife management graduate of Utah State University. Nelson is a native of Dragerton, where he resided prior to a four year tour of duty in the Navy. . At present he is undergoing a three month training period and then will be assigned as conservation conser-vation officer to fill one of the vacancies existing in the state. Transferred to Cedar City was LaVar Ware, who has served for the last eight years as educational educa-tional representative in the public pub-lic relations and education division divi-sion of the department. S. M. Clark, who has previously previous-ly held the Cedar City regional conservation post, will become regional coordinator for that area. |
