Show IN THE DISTK1CT COURT TS AND FOB the Third Judicial district of Utah territory, county of Salt Lake. V. G. Matthews, plaintiff, vs. M. J. Hunt, defendant, summons. The people peo-ple of the territory of Utah send greeting: To i M. J. Hunt, defendant: You are hereby required to appear in an action brought against you bj the above named plaintill in the district court of the Third Judicial ai strict of the territory of Utah, and to answer the complaint com-plaint filed therein within ten days (exclusive of the day of service) after the service on you of this summons if served within this connty; or, if eurved ont of this county, hot in this district, within twenty days; otherwise within forty days or judgment by default will be taken against yon, according to the prayer of said complaint. Tbe said action is brought to have judgment against the defendant in the sum of $50, with interest in-terest thereon from the S&th day of December, I860, at the rate of tea per cent per annum and costs of this action ; alleged to be the amount of a certain promissory note, executed and delivered to the plaintiff by the defendant, by signing the same as "Mike H unt" at Salt Lake, November 34, lMKi, dne in one month from said date, and bearing bear-ing ten per cent interest; and that said defendant has not paid the same nor any part thereof. And you are hereby notified that if you fall to appear snd answer the said complaint as above required, the said plaintiff will take judgment against yoa for the sum of $50, with interest and costs of this action .
