Show DEATH OF W. H- H. BOWERS. f I An Old Time Resident of Salt Lake Passe Away in Deadwood. W. H. H. Bowers, who resided in this city for many years, and who has friends ail over Utah, died at Deadwood, South Dakota, on Sunday last of heart disease. Mr. Bowers Bow-ers was an engineer of exceptional al-iiit. and represented Griffith b Wedge, of Zanes-ville, Zanes-ville, Ohio, in Utah. He had a large establishment estab-lishment on Main street, and erected many mining and milling plants in Utah, Montana and Idaho. After leaving Salt Lake he went to Denver and became connected with the Colorado iron works, which company he represented at the time of his death. He was over 50 years of age and leaves a wife and three children. Mr. Bowers was a native of Ohio, and in hts younger days was distinguished as the engineer in charge of the Robert E. Lee, when that boat made its famous race on the lower Mississippi with the Natchez. K. |
