M The effort to fathom the niysjfl-y surrounding sur-rounding the awful fate of yourif Harley Warner, has again been the featyra of the day in court, the matter coming up under the suit for life insurance carried with United States Mutual Accident company. The testimony was resumed this morning with Mr. Dunning in the chair, the plaintiffs showing by him that when found the body of the unfortunate man had been pierced through and through; and that the bullet found in his trousers could have got there only with the victim in an upright position when shot. The plaintiff rested and the defense de-fense pleaded vigorously for a non-suit. This denied, Coroner Harris was placed on the stand and the evidence was still flowing flow-ing when the afternoon report closed. In Judge Zane's department of the district dis-trict court today there was another setting of civil jury cases to occupy the time between May 8 and 13. lu the case of Philip Speekart vs Henry W, Weiler, verdict was found for plaintiff awarding him $384.50. Leave was given to amend the answer in the case of Martha Turner against the Union National bank. The case of Lucy D. Watts vs The Union National bank was set for May 7. Judgement in the sum of $598.33 was rendered ren-dered for the plaintiff in the case of the W. A. Wood M. At K. Co. against A. L Patterson this morning. The case of Meany Limb against John Gogau et al. is on trial before Judge Zane and a jury. The ease of Burt vs. Shaughnessy, in which mining property at Bingham was involved, in-volved, was this morning dismissed. . . |
