The increase is caused by the transformation of territories into states aud additions to the congressional apportionment consequent con-sequent on growth of population. To nominate candidates for president and vice-president a majority vote, or 450, will be required at Minneapolis. The republicans in this respect differ from tho democrats, the latter adhering to the two-third rule. |
