Crossman has had two very pretty medals made by Leo Hollander, which lie intends to send to his old home in Iowa, and oiler them as prizes to the 11 uses. tiu ritles. lioth of the medals med-als are exactly alike only that one is gold and the other silver. They aro circular in shape and are suspended with two chains from n flat plato, on which will be inscribed tho name of the victor. Resting on the top of the medal is a pair of rifles and over these is perched an American eagle. The front of the medal has a representation, of the mormon temple, as it will ba when finished, and is engraved; "Utah to Iowa," and on the back: "Presented to the Muscatine rifles by L. C. Crossman." both medals are enclosed en-closed in purple velvet cases, and they will be sent to Iowa iu a few days. |
