Show DEATH OF MRS. JACK. j Returning From a Drive She Is Stricken With Heart Failure. Mr. J. F. Jack, wife of the city recorder, died most suddenly at her residence between 5 and 6 o'clock yesterday afternoon. She was a most sweet and amiable woman and her death has been a great shock to all who knew her. In company with her husband she had been out for a drive and had just returned re-turned home. Her health seemed never brighter. When Death laid its cold hand upon her she was in the act of going up I up stairs. She had nearly reached the landing, when with a low moan she dropped on the stairs and fell to the bottom. In a moment her husband was by her side, but no efforts he made could restore re-store her to consciousness and she died in about an hour after she was stricken. In falling it is supposed she suffered a slight concussion of the brain, but the direct cause of her death ia believed to be due to heart failure. Mrs. Jack was 35 years of ace and came to this city from Indiana, where her mother now resides. Her only child is a boy of 5 years. The funeral will take place from her late residence No. 125 east Seventh South street, tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. |
