Show LATE LOCAL. I'nion Pacific locomotive attached to the regular passenger train from the south encountered a mule on the railroad track nt Ninth South strcci this morning ah-jut lu o'clock, and the mule was knocked out. The animal's left hind leg was broken and badly mangled, and the section men put an end to its misery by shooting it to death. Its ownership has not been ascertained. The liberal committee held a meeting at G. A. K. hail last night for the discussion of matters pertaining to the campaign.
