The anfwer denies the allegations allega-tions of the petitioners; denies that there were representations made that the Paciiie company and the I.os Angeles ( able company com-pany wore identical; denies that petitioners were induced to renew the loans or accept notes by any fraudulent (schemes; admits that there were intentions to incorporate the Pacilic company in Illinois, to prevent the personal liability of stockholders for debts that might lie incurred by the company, com-pany, but there was no iutcntiou to avoid auy" existing debts and obligations. The answer avers that, whatever has been done by the company has been with the full knowledge of the petitioners, and that the property and franchises of the company, when properly managed, arc sufficient to pay all the indebtedness, its present financial embarrassment being due entirely to a great unforeseen disaster. |
