A fight on Sunday between soma of the members mem-bers of the Farmer ami Taylor famili'ss. living near Cochrane, resulted in old man Farmer swearing out a warrant for John Taylor. The trial took place yesterday and the relatives of both parties were there, including the old man Nix, his son Van Nit and sons in law, Fount MoConuell and J. T. Largeu and two boys, I). Trsshcr and Waller Alexander. The other siile consisted of Tom Taylor and sous Jolm, liud, Itine and a boy. The Hint was satisfactorily settled and all started home, when hot words between. Van Nix and John Tavlor resulted in Vix shooting Taylor. The latter drew; a knife aud cut Nix in several placet. Relatives of both were soon on the ground, and a pitched battle ensued, in wliieh roeks, knives. sticks and pistols were used. John Taylor. Tom Taylor and i!!iio Taylor fatally wounded; Fount MeCouucll, J. T. Largeu and Van Nix were, seriously wounded. Mis Nora Alexander, who ran out to quiet her brother, watt painfully injured. , |
