Dykes was busy yesterday getting together a lot of well driving tools with which he intends puncturing he desert in several places in an endeavor en-deavor to find a water mine. Mr. Dykes will leave the city this week completely equipped to sink three wells. One of these wells will be at Government Sink, sixteen miles from Scribners; another at River lied, twelve miles from the first, and tho third at liuckhorn City. If he is successful in getting water in auy one of these, he will drive a fourth well at some point between Dugway and Fish Springs. j After Mr. Dykes had looked over the ground he hail no doubt but what his venture would be successful in finding water, or that his undertaking would be an immensely profitable one to him. His confidence is shared by all who are familiar with the country. Sam Gilsou lias promised Dykes to give him folio when he strikes water in the Dugway well. |
