Show Hammocks In the House. New Orleans Picayune, People who have unoccupied corners in their rooms may make use of them and give themselves a comfortable lounging place by hanging a hammock across the corner. When not occupied it can be hooked back against the wall or taken down altogether. In hanging it the head should be six and one-quarter feet from the floor, the lower end three and three-quarter feet; this curve gives the greatest ease of position. The head end should lie fastened to the work by a rope onlv a foot long, or even less, while that which attaches the foot should be four and a half feet long. The object ob-ject of this arrangement is to give the lower part of the body freedom in swinging, while the head is almost stationary. |
