Show TO INCREASE ITS CAPITAL. The Chamber of CommerM Will Advertise Adver-tise Salt Lake City. The directorate of the chamber of commerce, held a meeting last night at which Vice-President S.inion and Secretary Sec-retary Gillespio weroJ instructed to call a general meeting of the chamber to make changes iu the constitution aud also to increase the capital stock. At present the assets are in excess of tho capital stock. The general meeting will be advertised for a period of thirty days. - ' ' ' The advertising committee reported that arrangements were being made to print 50,000 copies of Ilallister's pamphlet pam-phlet publication, "Salt Lake City and Surroundings." The secretary said that ho had written writ-ten for estimates for tho cost of cuts for an edition of ' 103,000 illustrated illus-trated folders. Tho ' folder will be Issued in three weeks. The secretary and vice-president wero then authorized author-ized to enter into- a contract with an eastern'advertising agency for the purpose pur-pose of advertising Salt Lake and its resources. The matter will bo distributed dis-tributed in 2500 eastern papers. The directors agreed to appropriate $200 for a California excursion to be brought here if the real estate exchange would contribute $100 for that purpose.- Regarding the government building telegrams have been sent to Washington Washing-ton in a perfect shower. Mr. Flower sent two, one to Mr. Hougan, another to Van Scharck. Mr. Boyse wired Mr. Wickam; Mr. Heywood telegraphed Mr. Williams, while Mr. Taylor paid his respects to Sawyer, Peters and Miller. Mil-ler. All tho gentlemen communicated with are members of congress.
