Show O. A. R. ENCAMPMENT. The Twenty-fourth Aunual Begins at Cincinnati, Cin-cinnati, Cincinnati, April 2!). Special. The twenty-fourth annual encampment of the Grand Army of the Republic, department de-partment of Ohio, began in this city today, to-day, aud will continue until Thursday evening. Some of tho most distinguished distin-guished soldiers and sailors of tho hue war are iu attendance. General 11, A. Alger, commander-in-chief, received au ovation. The parade was tho largest ever held in this city. It is estimated that there are at least 50,000 visitors here. The delegates to the encampment encamp-ment number 1500 and they represent every city, town and village in the state. The'women's relief corps, au auxiliary of the G. A. R., is also in session hero. There are over five hundred delegates in tho convention. All tho principal officers of the state are present by invitation. invi-tation. . - |
