Senate voted on the amendment reported report-ed by tho finance committee striking out of the house silver bill the provision that 'treasury notes issued for silver; "shall be legal tender in payment of all debts, public and private." The amendment amend-ment was rejected; Yeas 14, nays 50, and tho provision remains in tho bill. Washington, June 17. The senate has also voted on the second amendment amend-ment striking out ' tho bullion redemption redemp-tion clause. Agreed to; yeas 57, nays 7, so that clauso is cut out of the bill.' , Washington, Juno 17 1:13 Tho senate has voted on tho third amendment amend-ment reported by the finance committee commit-tee striking out the sixth section for the free coinage of silver when the market price is $1 for' 371 grains of pure silver. The amendment was rejected; re-jected; yeas 16, nays 46. So the provision provi-sion remains in the bill. The amendment lixiug the' limitation of the act to ten years was rejected; yeas 4, naysli4. On motion of Plumb, tho following was substituted for the first section of tho house bill by a voto of yeas 43, nays 24: " That from and after the date of tho passage of this act tho unit of value in tho United States shall bo the dollar, and tho same be coined of four hundred and twelve and a half grains standard silver, or twenty-five and eight-tenths grains of standard gold, and said coins shall be legal tender for all debts, public pub-lic or private That thereafter any owner of silver or gold bulliou may deposit de-posit tho same at any mint of the 'United 'Uni-ted States to be formed into standard dollars or bars for his benefit and without with-out charge, but it shall be lawful to refuse re-fuse any deposit of less value than one hundred dollars or for any bullioh so base as to be unsuitable for tho operations opera-tions of a mint." The second conference on tho auti-trust bill have reached an agreement by which tho bill was stripped of all the amendments added by the Senate and the house and remains as it originally passed tho Senate. At today's meeting tho republican monibers of the Senate finance committee commit-tee the tariff bill was closed agaiust further fur-ther amendments, and will be reported to the Senate tomorrow.
