Show Mayor, Council and Lions Club Guests Of Capt- Knowles As. envited guests, the city council coun-cil and Lions club was royally entertained en-tertained by Captain Knowles, Thursday evening. At 7 p, m. Captain Knowles conducted con-ducted a inspection trip through the camp, first through the captain quarters, which is comfortably furnished, then through the boy's quarters which is roomy and well ventilated with individual cots and plenty of rlcan bedding. The shower show-er bath is provided with plenty of hot and cold water and is kept very sanitary. The hospital is well equipped with all first-aid supply and can take care of minor operations and there is a section of the hospital provided for individual isolation of contagious if necessary. A large ice refrigerator is provided pro-vided which takes care of all food supplies. llie kitchen 13 well supplied with mammoth stoves and other utensils which are well presided of by the shelvs and as the inspection of the camp ended, we were invited into the dining rooms where we enjoyed en-joyed a repast that will be long remembered. re-membered. From here we went to the amuse ment hall wher Robert Lee gave a fine talk on bird life, illustrating the subject wlh slides showing a good many speces as actually photoed in their natural haunt. Also Al-so showed some slides of actual work being done in the conservation conserva-tion work west of our own, on the shores of Great Salt Lake. |
