Show MINER LOSES FOOT j IN MINE ACCIDENT Herman Allman, 40, employe of the Utah Copper company here and a resident of Salt Lake City, had his right foot amputated Saturda) night as the result of an accident It is reported that Allman was standing' on the running board of a steam shovel when a large rock became dislodged from the bank above and rolled down, crushing his foot First-aid treatment was given at the mine and he was later rushed to St. Marks hospital in Salt Lake City where it was ascertained ascer-tained that the foot was so badly crushed that amputation was necessary. |
