silver city brings the information that the cumberland property is to be equipped with electric power from the trade dollar plant the plant has been ordered tor for thre months but the manufacturers have not yet been able to supply all of it the transformer and the wire have been delayed the former had to be made especially while wire used for such mountain work is also short poles are being secured from the north and other materials are on hand but everything will be delayed beyond putting up the poles until the wire and the tranis transformer former arrives it has been found that the ordinary copper wire will not meet the requirements of the service on an exposed mountain like that over which this line must be constructed ted and one more like a cable is provided in such cases the supply of this kind of wire is limited and the manufacturers have not been able to fill this order both the mine and the mill will be equipped with electric power steam is s sa expensive as to be almost prohibitive and the company will not undertake to do much until it gets the cheaper power 0 |
