Show LIVELY TIMES AHEAD FOR TINTIC ARE PREDICTED BY CAMP publication the opening of new ore in the tintic gintic standard recent strikes in the property of the eureka standard and the uncovering of large ore deposits in both the north lily and the eureka lily mines mines undoubtedly mean a new era of prosperity for the entire tintic gintic district states the eureka reporter of recent date it does not require much optimism to vision great activity at half a dozen other properties and the prediction is being made that within another year several hundred men will be able to find employment as a result of fintics cs new mining enterprises there are reasons to believe that the deal now pending for the transfer of the big mill hill and other knight mines to the utah apex company will reach a successful termination and if so it will mean the advent of a group of very progressive and efficient mining operators whose presence in tintic gintic should be the signal for starting work in a big way on a number of properties first of all it will mean the sinking of a shaft on the big hill and then a thorough and systematic search for ore being desirably located the big hill should become a mine while officials of the international mining smelting smelling Sm elting company have made no definite statement regarding this matter it is quite generally understood that they are getting things in shape for another shaft job this shaft will be on the claims of the east tintic gintic coalition a promising mineral tract that is to the southwest of their north lily and most too far away to be developed through the north lily shaft this work is expected to start early in the summer and its location makes it most important to the people of eureka when the international people first were attracted to the tintic gintic district they operated through the yankee consolidated soli dated shaft and acquired ground to the east cast including the east tintic gintic coalition nothing of importance was developed during the campaign of work through the yankee shaft but recent development in the eastern side of the district have strengthened the theory that there are some large ore deposits between the tintic gintic standard and the older mines along the eastern slope of godiva mountain not only have mining men revised their opinions regarding the tracts which are to the south and west of the tintic gintic standard and the north lily but they are inclined to look with greater favor on the territory to the north of these big mines including the central standard and various groups of claims which are owned by the chief consolidated company there is one valuable piece of ground extending from the north lilys boundary line to the mansville homansville Ho canyon that should have attention and no doubt work will be under way there before the end of the present year this territory is owned by the chief consolidated soli dated company a concern that seems by reason of its extensive holdings to be in position to benefit by anything and everything that is liable to take place in the way of ore discoveries in the opinion of many local people the central stand ard will come in for a big development campaign before very long some work is in progress there but it was start ed solely for the purpose of preparing the shaft and other underground workings for extensive operations the officials of this company have been offered help by some of the big financial interests of the state but terms have riot not been agreed upon and no development program has yet been outlined that the property will be worked even though it is necessary to call on the shareholders for regu lar assessments is the statement that is in circulation and most of those who have stock are anxious for action having confidence in the ground much of the central standard stock is held locally and some of the largest shareholders are people who by reason of having access to east tintic gintic mines should be in position to known know something of the true value of the property |
