four years engaged in the extensive development of a large copper domain in yavapai county ariz has written your correspondent that it is the intention of the company to begin the immediate installation of a ton daily capacity unit of a large milling plant work to begin within the next three or four four weeks and to atta attain illi completion before the first of the coming year in the huge ore deposits uncovered by the seven miles of underground mine workings mr godfrey states 2000 tons of ore have been made available for mining za and mill treatment having an average assay value of five per cent copper to the ton in addition to appreciable gold values which can be profitably handled with this mill unit in commission godfrey says the company will be placed on a regular production and earning basis solving all present financial conditions permanently the kay copper has been developed to the 1200 foot level with thousands of feet of drifts cross cuts laterals literals late rals and upraises up raises blocking out the mammoth ore bodies while extensive exploratory work by means of diamond drilling has demonstrated the existence of huge deposits of possible ore in exposed and established the three ore measures paralleling the dike traversing the property its entire length these veins it is claimed vary in width from five to twenty feet each containing shoots or benzes of ore of commercial value the company has now reached a point in mine min development believed to justify the construction of reduction works and it has been decided to install a ton daily capacity milling plant in addition to a new power plant to be erected the financial sta statement of the company just issued indicates it is on a safe and sound basis pan american nearing production it is stated the pan american mining company of los angeles engaged in the development of the stella and mt comet silver lead mines in lincoln county counts nevada is rapidly approaching an era of regular production and C J harwood a heavy shareholder in the company recently returned from a visit to the property states that development work during the past few weeks has been of a most gratifying nature the company he says is highly elated over the fact that the state and county under the supervision of the state highway engineer is building a fine six teen mile highway connecting the mines with mt comet loading station on the union pacific railroad the new thoroughfare being on an almost even grade at the mt comet mine harwood states the crosscut from the main working tunnel is rapidly approaching a point under the famous from which much shipping ore has been taken in the past the crosscut cross cut has already passed through forty feet of ore of good commercial grade with the limitations of this deposit still undetermined and should soon reach the large and rich ore body which is its objective the stella stelah tunnel is also in interesting and most promising ground in which the disclosure of large bodies of shipping ore is almost daily expected the company has consigned 1000 ore sacks to the mine and it is planned to begin regular shipments of high grade
