Show CHINO COPPER REPORT the chino copper company of hurley new mexico in its report for the second quarter of 1919 shows operating profit of deficit after dividends was production amounted to pounds of copper compared with in previous quarter we compare income account as follows june 30 IDec 1 sept 30 net pr cop disc inc totals 1035 bivs paid 1 1 surplus 1 SO deficit copper production for past four quarters follows june 30 mar 31 1 I dec 31 1 sept 30 1st ast rno 7 ad mo 60 9 55 8 8 ad mo 3 39 9 44 0 81 71 1 I 1 tot total amount of ore treated for the three months was tons equivalent to an average of tons per day daily average is 1083 tons less than that milled for the first quarter of 1919 average assay in copper was per per cent compared with per cent for the first quarter of 1919 ore milled during the second quarter was considerably more favorable to concentration cent ration than was the ore treated during the previous quarter the recovery per ton of ore milled for the quarter under consideration was 2628 pounds of copper as compared with 2329 pounds for the first quarter of 1919 the cost per pound of net copper produced from milling operations for the second quarter after allowing for smelter deductions duct ions and including depreciation was 1416 cents as against 1503 cents for the first quarter of 1919 the cost figures do not include any charge for federal income or excess profits taxes nor do these costs take into consideration miscellaneous income there were no gold and silver credits from the concentrate produced during the second quarter the above figures are based on a carrying price for copper of 1460 cents per pound for the second quarter of 1919 calculi calculated ted in the usual manner by inventorying inventor ying our unsold copper at 1312 cents per pound the figures for the first quarter of 1919 were based on a price for copper of 1304 cents per pound |
