Show MILL FOR LORAY MINE W S anderson of los angeles who is heavily interested in nevada mining pro properties p was in salt lake recently for the purpose of af purchasing machinery for a milling plant for one of his mines the property in question being located at loray on the southern pacific near cobre nevada this will consist of a 50 ton concentrating mill which will be installed at loray station which is but a mile and three quarters distant from the mine the water for the operation of the plant will be obtained for the time being from the rail road company it is expected however that water in abundance will be developed in the mine workings the mine is a silver lead proposition and in its workings large bodies of ore have been blocked out and exposed which will run from 10 to 60 per cent lead 17 to 20 ounces silver and from aoto 4 in gold to the ton mr anderson is vice president and general manager of the evening star mining company whose property is located in silver canyon north of cherry creek nevada a short distance down the canyon from the property of the nevada mother lode company mr anderson informs the mining review that it is his intention to resume active work in the operation of the evening star this spring and will probably equip this property popularly known as the old black metal with a milling plant later on in the season mr anderson is also interested in several properties at pioche nevada and is manager of the columbus pioche the pioche L S the silver king mining company and the alabama pioche during the winter mr anderson luxuriated at los angeles but with the coming of the balmy air of spring the call of the wild caught him again and now he says it is a summer in the hills for him |
