| Show OLD LEAD MIN MINES ES TO OPEN goldfield nev tribune last week saw the departure from goldfield of no less than ten large wagons loaded to the guards with mining machinery and mining supplies for the groome lead mines about to be opened up by a syndicate of goldfield capitalists and mining operators under the management of E H wedekind late metallurgist and superintendent for august F heinze and colonel posey mr wedekind will direct the cavalcade to its destination and commence operations on the property immediately after its arrival the property which has been known and held for upwards of thirty years is situated about forty five miles north of indian spring on the dark clark railroad and is in lincoln county the ore is an lead ore and there is every indication of the existence of a great lead mine if the mine develops as surface indications and underground development already warrant a railway will be constructed from the mines to indian springs and a smelting smelling sm elting plant will be erected at the most suitable point to treat these and other ores from the surrounding country sufficient supplies to carry on development for several months will be hauled on this trip and a large force of men will be taken down and put to work immediately that the development will be pushed to the utmost may be judged from the personnel of the syndicate taking hold of the property among them being L L patrick tom murphy walter geddes tom kane calapai higginson and others |
