Show CYANIDE PLANT FOR WINDFALL sentinel eureka nevada J J jones the general manager and ed campbell J A smith and henry benei die the principal stockholders in the III eu reka windfall milling alining company arrived hers here monday from chicago to inspect the property and to look into and arrange for installing the first ton unit of a ton cyanide mill T the he materials and machinery for the first unit of the new mill have all been ordered and are now in transit to eureka charles Kab kaeding ding of the kaeding construction st company will arrive in eureka next tuesday to take charge of the construction st of the mill it is now planned to start the work of grading at once with a force of forty men and to push forward the same saine as fast as the available force of men and the weather will permit twenty standard carloads of the building material now on the road are expected to be delivered here in time to prevent any unnecessary delay in the progress of the work the first unit of the contemplated ton mill is tb have a capacity of tons daily and will be equipped with six 22 foot steel tanks a 40 horsepower gasoline engine engine two sets of rolls one gates rock breaky breaker r and one or revolving screen the tanks will be loaded loade d with automatic conveyors doing away with all hand labor in the mill all of this machinery is of the latest and most approved quality and construction st in fact the mill will be a thoroughly modern and up to date cyanide plant of which eureka may well be proud it was at first expected the mill would be ready for operation in march but a recent change in the plans has made it impossible to realize these expectations and the operation of the mill under the present plans will probably commence not later than may 1 of this year the above named gentlemen after fully inspecting the property are satisfied that it will justify building the other four units of the plant by the time the development work i already outlined on the mine has been corn plated which will probably be finished not later than july 1 jones campbell smith a and 1 d l 1 benedic left eureka on wednesday morn 1 in ins ings s train for goldfield where they ar are e also largely interested in 1 I mining properties manager J J jones and superintendents superintendent C T we weidman after giving the above facts stated that the company is at present doing I 1 only the preliminary work which is to pre ja cede operations on a much larger scale an and d that in the near future a full account off of f the development work that has been done doile e on the windfall mine and a more coni complete e description of the cyanide plant to be erect ere ct t ed will be given for the benefit of the readers of the sentinel |
