Show ANOTHER YEAR GONE BY with this issue the mining review enters upon the tenth year of its existence volume 9 is put upon the shelf and with renewed energy the publishers take up the task of making volume 10 even bigger and better than its predecessor nine years is rather a short period in which to establish a trade paper on a sound and prosperous basis and yet when we look back and review the growth of the mining review we feel a thrill of pride at the results accomplished from a struggling publication of twenty pages it has developed into a magazine of fifty two pages and is recognized as a mining authority throughout the intermountain country this has not been accomplished without a great deal of consistent effort and care on the part of the publishers they have endeavored deavo red at all times to give the public a conservative legitimate mining paper they have shown no favoritism and A square deal to all has been their motto the paper has been and will continue to be published in the interests of the mining industry it has been considered worth while to build up a reputation for honesty and great care has been exercised to avoid all fake and wildcat propositions both in the advertising line and in the reading matter of the paper the review has occasion to feel proud of the high class advertisers that patronize its columns and also of the great circulation it enjoys especially in the intermountain mining country As an advertising medium it feels that it a place at the head of the list it is published in the very center of the greatest mining field of the country and is therefore in close touch with the active mining industry the review lays no claim to being a technical journal it alms aims to give the mining news of the west in such a manner that it appeals to every class and not to confine its efforts along lines that would interest only a few simple unbiased accounts of con editions as they really exist and not abstract theoretical problems of what might be is what it always strives for in such an undertaking der taking it needs the hearty operation cooperation co of the mining public and this help is increasing as the years go by that part of the public in whose interests this paper is published has begun to appreciate it and the support given it is the best testimonial it could have the mining review is but young yet as newspapers are reckoned and the success of the past promises well for a bright future when we are forty or fifty years old we will perhaps have more to boast of as it is we are almost satisfied but sincerely hope to eclipse our former record with each succeeding issue in the meantime watch Us grow |
