Show J f Society i Engagement Announced Mr. and Mrs. J. 0. Murray have announced the engagement of their daughter, Evelyn, to Dominic Prlano, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Prlano of Helper. Miss Murray graduated from the local hospital last spring. The marriage mar-riage will take place In the near future and the couple will make their home "in Helper. Mr. prlano Is a graduate of the Carbon county high school. Luncheon Mrs. Tom Georges entertained several guests at her home Monday Mon-day evening at luncheon. Following Fol-lowing were present: the Misses Lydla and Irene Hawkins and Mrs. F. A. Sheets, all of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Harry Dros-sos Dros-sos and daughters Georgia, Melia Beckstead-Crellln Marriage Mrs. I. N. Beckstead of South Jordan has announced the marriage mar-riage of her daughter, Ethel, to James Crellln, son of Mrs. J. Crellln of this cltf, in Salt Lake City Tuesday, September 28. Miss Desna Beckstead, sister of the bride, and Bob Crellln, brother bro-ther of the groom, were witnesses witnes-ses and, following the ceremony, were guests at a dinner at the Hotel Utah. The young couple left for a trip through the southern south-ern Utah parks and on their return re-turn will make their home in the Princess apartments. Mr. Crellln la a graduate of the Bingham Bing-ham high school and is an employee em-ployee of the Utah Copper company. com-pany. CalHuntsman entertained entertain-ed her sewing club at her home Thursday afternoon. Eight ladies were present and enjoyed the activities followed by luncheon. J. U. Club Mrs. Del Prlgmore was hostess hos-tess Wednesday evening to the J. U. club. Two tables of Five Hundred was arranged and prizes priz-es awarded Carrie Doyle, Lit Davidson and Irene Mayne. A late luncheon was served. r V. P. & Light Luncheon. W. V. Fleetwood, In charge of the Utah Power and Light company com-pany division at Provo addressed electrical dealers Tuesday noon at a luncheon meeting at the Ramona cafe on the "Better Light Better Sight" campaign for this fall and winter. Ross Hocking Hock-ing of the Bingham Merc, D. A. Blgler of Deluxe Furniture, Fergus Fer-gus Thompson of West's Furniture Furni-ture and . J. Cawdell of the Bingham Radio shop attended. Vern Faddls, Runor Martinsen and Delbert Barrett were present pres-ent from the local Utah Power and Light office. Ruth Rebekah Lodge No. 7. Ruth Rebekah lodge No. 7 I. O. O. F. celebrated the 86th year oif Rebekah Odd Fellowship Fellow-ship at the Community M. E. church Tuesday, September 28. Mrs. Mary H. Thomas of Tooele, president of the Rebekah association associa-tion of Utah, made her official visitation. Thirty-two out cf town gueBts from the Queen City No. 4. lodge of Ogden; Mt. Olympus No. 60 lodge of Salt Lake; Olive Branch No. 29 lodge of Tooele; Deborah No. 6 Of Provo; Valley No. 27 f Corrlne; Naomi No. i of Salt Lake; Omenta No. 15 of Murray; Mur-ray; Queen of West No. 22 of Mldvale; Wasatch No. 30 of Sandy; Miriam No. 5 of Salt Lake attended. There were five past presidents presi-dents attending and eleven members mem-bers of the local lodge present. After the regular meeting a special program was presented. Rlter Stuart gave piano solos and Marietta Sours danced several tap numbers. Mrs. Pete Sayatovic, Miss Al-thea Al-thea Christenaen and Mrs. Basil Daman were members of the refreshment committee. |
