Miss Betty Long returned Tu-esday from Salt Lake where she has been the guest of re-latives for the past ten days. The Girl Scouts met at the home of Mrs. R. Q. Frazier Mon-day at 7 p. m. The next meet-ing will be held at the home of Mrs. James Barkle Monday. TO LATE FOR LAST WEEK Marie Greenland of American Fork were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brown Friday evening. Fifty representatives of the principal western railroads who were holding a two day confer-ence in Salt Lake City, visited the Utah Copper company mine at Bingham Friday after which the party motored back to Cop-perton and enjoyed lunch In the park. Eighteen boy scouts and their leader Ernest Deitrich returned home Sunday afternoon, having spent two days at the scout camp at Mill Creek. All report having had a splendid time. The Bingham Mutual associa-tion presented a one act play Tuesday evening In the grade school auditorium. A large at-tendance and a good time was enjoyed by all present. The Junior girls class of the Mutual had charge'- - of the Sun-day night meeting at church last week. A special program was arranged by the class which included a reading by Ladene Strasberg, a vocal duet by Bet-ty Barnett and Norma Nix ac-companied by Patricia Shilling, a short talk by Mary Brown, a piano solo by Marlon Pett, and a reading by Jena Vee Larsen. The instructor of the Junior Girls course, Miss Sadie Rogers, gave a short talk in conclusion of the meeting.o Miss Leslie Candland, Mr. Mau-rice Christensen, Miss Betty Vorhees, and Mr. Ralph Gunni-son, who are attending the Utah State Agriculture college at Logan were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. V. Knudsen Saturday. During the afternoon they visited the mine at Bing-ham. Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Pugh were the dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Mitchell Monday eve-ning. Mr. and Mrs. Pugh are from Salt Lake City. Mrs. Ray Gammell entertain-ed Monday evening at six o'clock at a nicely arranged party in honor of her daughter, Lola Jean's twelth birthday.
