Show G. 0. P. ORGANIZES COUNTY DISTRICTS Organization meetings In each of the 19 legislative districts in Salt Lake county were held on Monday evening. Bingham Canyon Can-yon is situated in District 18. Elected chairman, vice chairman and secretary were John N. Peterson Pe-terson of Draper; Mrs. Ruth Granquist of this city and Michael Mich-ael J. Tishner of Riverton. Heretofore political parties have been organized on a ward and precinct basis. But due to enactment of the direct primary law and th districting of the county for the purpose of electing elect-ing representatives in the legislature, le-gislature, the Republican county committee decided to organize on a basis of legislative districts. Local representatives to the meeting were: Wayne Shelley, Highland Boy; Dewey Knudsen. Copperfield; Dr. F. E. Straup and Jess Southwell, District 335; Art Sorenson and Mrs. Eugene Morris, District 334; A. A. Macke, Copperton. |
