Enough is now known lo show that it haa met with good success and lias severely severe-ly punished Crazy Horse's band of Sioux, Cneyennea and Minnecon-joes. Minnecon-joes. It ia a Wo rendered certain that the number of hostile Indians now away Irom their reservations has been greatly over estimated, so that another ano-ther one of the Indian humbugs ot the frontier has been exposed as tho result of this expedition. If the agencies of Red Cloud and Spotted Tail were removed to the Missouri river the predatory bauds which have infested this frontier would be obliged to succumb, as they get all their sup plies of war material ft! well as information in-formation of the movements against them from these points. |
