Show City Council Meeting of tho city council, Tuesday Tues-day evening, Mayor Little, presiding: A petition was received from Thus. Fen ton and fifty-five others, representing repre-senting that the street crossings in the 6th ward, west of tho U. S. R. R. track, were almost impassable, and asking the council to do something towards repairing them. The council coun-cil appropriated, to be expended for said object, $400 of the city taxes of said ward. Petition of Isaac Brockbank and forLy-threo others, residents ot the Sth ward, asking the privilege of paying their city taxes by improving tbe streets aud crossings of Baid ward, was received, and the delinquent taxes of the Sth ward, $740, were appropriated for the above object, tne work to be done under the direction direc-tion of the street supervisor. Petition of Walker Brothers &. Co. for the privilege of laying a substantial substan-tial crossing from the poatofSce to i their store on the north side of Second 'South street, was granted. Petition of the Deseret rifle club for the privilege of opening a rifle gallery for the exclusive use of members of the club, in the hall over Mulloy's livery stable, was granted. Bill of J. L. Rawlins for services as city attorney for the month of October, Octo-ber, $1663, was allowed. Council adjourned till next Tuesday Tues-day evening at 7 o'clock. |
