Show City Council. Meeting of the city council, Tuesday Tues-day evening, Mayor Little presiding: Petition of F. D. CliTt and filteon others, residents and property-owners on West Temple street, asking that the maius of the waterworks be extended ex-tended between Second and Fourth South streets, was referred to the comniiilee on waterworks. H. Shiugletou was granted the privilege of making tin entrance into his cellar on First South street, from the sidewalk. On petition, W. Coult, an aged aiid infirm man, wus granted a free t license to peddle coal in the city. The supervisor was instructed to fill a certain hollow in Ssiond Wist street, between Nurih aud South Temple. Thu eommitttie on claims, to whom was relerrcd me petition of T. . C. Hall, asking compensation for injuries received by falling down the cellar of the Idaho store, reported that they -had examined into the circumstance of the case, and fail mi to discover that the corporation wa liable for the injuries sustained by thn petitioner; the committee therefore reported adversely on tho petition.
